Bilton News – November 15

Harrogate Congestion Study: is now available.   The idea of a relief road is still on the table.  A link to it from Bilton Lane has been removed. This will be a huge relief to most people in the community but there are many who will still be concerned about the possibility of a new road separating BIlton from its open space and thus reducing their quality of life.   Of more concern to the wider Harrogate community could be that those who have had time to study the 243 page document mainly say that it does not properly address the subject of the Study, that is to put forward suggestions that would realistically ease the congestion; and that there is still insufficient information for the public to make an informed choice at any forthcoming consultation.  This will, no doubt, be a hot topic over the coming months.
