BCG is also heavily involved in consultations concerning the Harrogate Relief Road and Harrogate District Local Plan. The road: it is now known for certain that North Yorkshire County Council wants to build a road somewhere in the countryside on the outskirts of Bilton. With this news some may question the point of volunteering for Bilton Conservation Group, Nidd Gorge Community Action, Keep Nidd Gorge Gorgeous and Knox Valley residents Association to name just some of the organisations that will be affected. There is every point. The road is still just a thick line on a map. If it comes it will depend on many factors falling into place and will be some years away. Whilst all this is being decided and worked through we need to look after the beautiful area that is ours for the benefit of ourselves and the many hundreds of people who regularly use and enjoy it today. So, do volunteer when asked, it could not be more worthwhile.
Services at St John’s: on Sunday, December 10 Christingle services take place at 4pm and 6pm.
